Use the route that matches the record. Current county custody belongs with LASD inmate information. Proof-of-release and proof-of-incarceration requests can be started through the RIB appointment line, then picked up in person after identification and any required fee. LASD states that final disposition and court records must come from the court, not from the Sheriff's Department.
